Alija Avdukic holds a PhD in Islamic Economics and Finance (2016) from Durham University. He also completed his MA in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management (2010) from Gloucestershire University. He became an associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy in (2015). Before that, he also completed his BA (2003) and PGDip (2007) from Al-Azhar University, Cairo.[read more]

Began working life as a Bridge Designer before moving into University Research in Knowledge Management. Worked as a School Teacher and Educational Consultant before completing a doctorate in Education from the University of Warwick. Worked as a Director of the Woolf Institute of Abrahamic Faiths where he was the Director of the Centre for the Study of Muslim-Jewish Relations Has worked with many Islamic Schools in the UK and was Headteacher of Mazahirul Uloom London and Andalusia Academy Bristol. Prior to joining MIHE worked as a Research Fellow in Islamic Education at Cambridge Muslim College where he developed a new Education Module for the Diploma course.[read more]

Dr Ataullah Siddiqui is a Reader in Religious Pluralism and Inter-Faith Relations at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education where he was also the Director of the Institute from 2001 to 2008. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Gloucestershire and a Visiting Fellow at York St. John’s University.[read more]
